Sewing Classes, Workshops, Events & Summer Camps

 Take Me To The County Fair:  

This will be an experience for the memory books!  We will be making a small quilt and taking it to the fair.  We will start off with budget and design of the quilt.  Once we have designed our quilt  and selected our fabrics.  We will have an opportunity to cut our quilt squares with a state of the art fabric cutting system!  We will learn our first quilting techniques by making a quilted pillow sham.  We will discuss the Danish judging system used at our local fair and how it can   encourage camaraderie among our peers. This series of classes will culminate in an ALL family BBQ at Camp Giggle Stitch and a group outing to the fairgrounds to admirer our creations on display.

Included in this class:

12 classes of instruction ( 2 hours each), Use of our brand new computerized sewing machines, the quilt pattern and instructions,  a personalized shopping list and optional guided shopping with Miss Eileen, fair project entry fee, 1 ticket into the fair for each student, drop off and pick up of entries to the fairgrounds, BBQ dinner at Camp Giggle Stitch.

 class is limited to 4 students.

** Prerequisite- you must be an intermediate sewer to join this event.  Please contact Miss Eileen if you are interested to see if you qualify. 

 Can I Sew That? :

These are bi weekly project based classes that focus on one project to be completed over 2 classes.  Each Class will have a pre-determined project viewable on the menu.  Choose only the projects you wish to do.  Keep an Eye on the website and the Classroom wall for upcoming projects.  Class is limited to 4 students. These Classes are held every other Wek.  All supplies are included for the scheduled projects. 

What do you want to learn? You are in charge! Choose a project of your own. Choose to work on a particular skill.  Have a new machine need help using it? Started a project  and in over your head? Private lessons are just what you need.

 Weekend Wonder Workshops:   Come join us for a morning of fun sewing! We will sew a project start to finish.  Projects will be predetermined in advance of the class.  Oh the wonder's that can be made in and afternoon at Camp Giggle Stitch. Workshops are 4 hours long, from 9:00 – 1:00.  The workshops will be held periodically so keep checking in. 40.00 per workshop 

 Pillow Cases for Kids by Kids ( sewing for charity):  At this event we will be sewing Pillow cases for kids at a local homeless shelter.    Each student will provide the fabric for the pillow case(s) they would like to make.   Camp Giggle stitch will provide the needles, thread , machines and a tag for the pillow cases. There is a small fee  for this event to cover expendables.   These events will take place on select Saturdays throughout the year there will be 3 sessions during the event day, each 2 hours long. Students may sign up for all three sessions on the event day, or only one.  Materials should be provided for each of the 3 sessions.  This is a great opportunity to use our skills to show kindness and compassion for those in need. A shopping list will be provided upon registration.  5.00 per session .  This event is for students who have shown ability to sew a  quality project and follow instructions, have demonstrated kindness, and have sewn in at least one class, workshop, project series, or camp in the quarter the event takes place.   

 Adult Sewing Classes:

This class is for anyone who wants to learn to sew, or just wants to come join us for a night away from the house for fun sewing and socializing! You will have the option to choose your own project. Each student will provide there own fabric and patterns ( I can help with this).  Keep in mind your skill level.  If you orefer you can purchase a ”kit” from me for a small fee.
